BIOGRAPHY

Alastair has played an integral role as the Owner and Director of The Supreme Court since its inception in 2014. In this capacity, he assumes a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization.

Distinguished as a “Tennis Canada Club Professional 3” certified coach, a certification held by only 1.5% of coaches nationwide, Alastair also holds the distinction of being a “Tennis Canada Coach 3.” He possesses certification as a Tennis Professional from the United States Professional Tennis Registry, demonstrating his expertise in the field. His certifications further extend to Wheelchair Tennis and Cardio Tennis.

Alastair has played a pivotal role in producing U12 Provincial Champions, U16 Provincial Champions, U18 Provincial Champions, and U18 National Champions. Under Alastair’s guidance, aspiring athletes have achieved milestones, including securing coveted positions on Canada’s Junior Davis Cup Team. His coaching has helped propel players into the top 100 of the ITF Junior Rankings. Notably, athletes have also celebrated victories over top 10 ranked juniors in the world. Alastair’s experience also extends to touring with ATP, WTA and ITF ranked players, and he proudly coached alongside Ben Armstrong to secure the 2015 Parapan Am Games Wheelchair Tennis Doubles Bronze Medalist, Joel Dembe.

Alastair currently serves as a consultant for Tennis Canada Performance Coach Education, playing a lead role in managing and facilitating the Club Professional 2, Club Professional 3, Coach 2, Coach 3 and Coach 4 programs. Alastair is a previous employee of Tennis Canada’s Regional Junior Training Centre Program in Toronto, between September 2018 to September 2020. Alastair was recognized for his contributions to coaching with Tennis Canada’s Coaching Excellence Award in 2019.

In addition to his roles at The Supreme Court, Alastair holds the position of President of the historic Toronto Men’s Tennis League. His previous work history includes serving as the Head Tennis Professional at the OTA award-winning Davisville Tennis Club from 2010 to 2017, as well as holding the role of Tennis Director at Lawrence Park Tennis Club from 2017 to 2019. He has also contributed his expertise as a Progressive Program Director at Advantage Tennis International from 2013 to 2017 and has coached at various institutions, including Kew Gardens Tennis Club, Wanaka Tennis Club in New Zealand, The Boulevard Club, Toronto Tennis Academy, and North York Tennis Association
