Alastair has been the Owner and Director of The Supreme Court since the organization began in 2014. Alastair helps oversee the day-to-day operation of the club and lead’s The Supreme Court’s Performance Junior Programming.
Alastair is one of only twenty-five “Tennis Canada Club Professional 3” coaches in the country. Alastair is a “Tennis Canada Coach 3” and is also certified as a Tennis Professional by the United States Professional Tennis Registry, along with certifications for Wheelchair Tennis and Cardio Tennis.
From a performance coaching standpoint, Alastair has helped produce U12 Provincial Champions, U16 Provincial Champions, U18 Provincial Champions, and U18 National Champions. Alastair has helped athletes to reach the top 100 of the International Junior Rankings and has been thrilled to have helped players achieve wins over junior players ranked top 10 in the world. From a traveling perspective, Alastair has toured with ITF and WTA ranked players and was honored to have coached (under Ben Armstrong) 2015 Parapan Am Games Wheelchair Tennis Doubles Bronze Medalist, Joel Dembe.
Alastair currently leads the U10, U12, U16, and U18 Provincial Training Center Match Play Re Groupings on behalf of the Ontario Tennis Association. Alastair is a Team Ontario coach for the U18 National Junior Championships and has assisted as a part time employee for the past two years in Tennis Canada’s Junior National Training Centre program in Toronto. From September 2018 – September 2020, Alastair was one of two Directors of Player Development with Elev8ed Sports Solutions, a boutique tennis training agency developed to produce and manage the next crop of professional tennis players from Canada. In 2019, Alastair was presented Tennis Canada’s Coaching Excellence Award for his contribution to the training and results of Canadian national champions.
His previous work experience involves being the Head Tennis Professional at the OTA award-winning Davisville Tennis Club (2010 – 2017), Program Director at Lawrence Park Tennis Club (2017-2019), and Progressive Program Director at Advantage Tennis International (2013 – 2017). He has also coached at Kew Gardens Tennis Club, Wanaka Tennis Club in New Zealand, The Boulevard Club, Toronto Tennis Academy, and North York Tennis Association.
